Montessori Primary @ Huapai District School was established in 2005 through the collaboration of a dedicated group of parents and the management and Board at Huapai District School. These parents were passionate about enabling continued Montessori education for all children and their legacy lives on to this day with the wonderful education provided by the class. Also called ‘Room 17’, it enables the Montessori Primary pedagogy to be delivered with the support and structure of the main school environment and the New Zealand National Curriculum.
